(Glenwood) The number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Mills County continues its’ downward trend.
Mills County Public Health released their latest weekly report on Tuesday, showing 69 total positive tests from December 1 to December 8. This is 15 cases lower than one week ago and well below the highest one week total of 220 positive cases back in mid-November. The number of individuals tested has remained consistent, with an average of 240 tests completed per week.
As of December 8, the county recorded 1,133 positive tests, 689 recovered a 12.2-percent positivity rate, down from 19.2 percent one week ago, and no additional deaths.
Public health officials say while the surges continue to occur in Region 4 and around the state, Mills County has trended downward since mid-November. Please continue to concentrate your efforts to continue to contain the spread of COVID-19. Avoid gatherings, wear a face-covering around others outside of your immediate family, social distance in public, wash hands frequently, and stay home if not feeling well or have been in close contact with a positive case.
