(Atlantic) The Cass County Board of Supervisors held a public hearing this morning for public information concerning the status of expenditure of funding the county received for COVID-19 response.
The County, working with Cass County Food Policy Council, SWITA, County Food Pantries and Public Health increased its capacity with a food delivery system and food access in Cass County through a Community Development Block Grant of $86,580. As of November 16th, $76,086.63 has been expended.
Supervisor Steve Green said the program has been a success.

The balance of the CDBG Grant funds is in the process of being used up. Brigham Hoegh said she will be looking out for more funding as the need for food access continues.
In other news, the Supervisors accepted the resignation of a member of the Cass County Compensation Board and approved the appointment of Kipp Harris to the Compensation Board for the remainder of the four-year term ending June 30, 2021.
