(Atlantic) The Atlantic City Council this evening will take action on appointments to the Atlantic Municipal Utilities Board of Trustees, and Library Board of Trustees.
Joyce Jensen resigned from the AMU Board, and Mayor Dave Jones nominated and Katherine Smith for the open seat. The appointment runs through April 1, 2023.
The Council will also act on the appointment of Adam Skog to the Library Board of Trustees. The seat opened up after the unfortunate passing of Mark Johnson. The appointment will last until the end of Mr. Johnson’s scheduled term, June 30, 2024. The Library Board consists of nine members appointed by the Mayor, subject to City Council approval. Trustee appointments are six-year terms.
In other activities; the Council will receive a budget report from AMU General Manager Steve Tjepkes and Comptroller Jennifer Saathoff. The Council will take action on approving the budget following the report.
The Council will also vote on the third and final reading of an ordinance vacating an Alley East of 9th and Plum Streets.
