(Massena) Two people suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident east of Massena.
Iowa State Patrol Trooper and Information Officer Shelby McCreedy tells KSOM/KS95 News the accident happened at 6:35 a.m. on Tuesday at the intersection of Highway 92 and Highway 148.
McCreedy reports a southbound 2012 Dodge Avenger driven by 61-year old Brenda Bills of Massena came to a stop at the intersection of Highway 92 and Highway 148. Bills told authorities she didn’t see a 2013 Grand Caravan traveling eastbound on Highway 92 and driven by 40-year old Justin Fell of Atlantic. Bill’s proceeded into the intersection and struck the Fell van on the passenger side.
The Dodge Avenger came to rest on Highway 92, blocking the eastbound lane. The Grand Caravan came to rest on Highway 148, blocking the northbound lane.
Twenty-one-year-old Taymen Brawdy, of Atlantic, a passenger in the Dodge Caravan, was transported by Massena Rescue to the Cass County Memorial Hospital, and Cumberland Rescue transported Bills to CCMH, both reporting minor injuries.
The Iowa State Patrol cited Bills for failure to yield at a stop sign.
