(Harlan) A Pottawattamie County man suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Shelby County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 4:25 p.m. on Friday on Highway 44 and Redbud Road. Authorities say 28-year old Dyllan Hamlin of Walnut was injured in the accident.
According to the report, an eastbound 2013 Mack Semi driven by 57-year old Howard Lansman of Harlan was attempting to turn north on Redbud Road. A pickup was westbound on 44 and preparing to turn north onto Redbud. Due to the oncoming traffic, the semi stopped on the road, while waiting to turn safely. An eastbound Ford F250 pickup driven by Hamlin failed to stop and rear-ended the semi.
Medivac Ambulance transported Hamlin to Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan.
