(Atlantic) Atlantic Head Football Coach Mike McDermott likes what he sees on the defensive side of the football. The Trojans return nine starters on defense with depth on the defensive line.
McDermott says it’s going to be a defensive line by-committee this season.
Bodie Johnson and Brendan Atkinson are the two returning middle linebackers.
The returning defensive backs include Colin Mullenix, Joe Weaver, Grant Sturm, Zane Vance, and a host of other players capable of contributing to the defensive backfield.
Coach McDermott says the offense is ahead of schedule despite the three-day delay in the start of preseason practice.
