(Area) High winds blew over a semi on Interstate 29 five miles southwest of Thurman in Fremont County early this (Wednesday) morning.
The National Weather Service reported wind speeds of 56-miles per hour one mile west of Missouri Valley in Harrison County, and a 49-mile per hour wind gust five-miles northeast of Council Bluffs in Pottawattamie County.
The weather service issued severe thunderstorm warnings for Fremont and Page counties in extreme southwest Iowa.
