(Marne) A van vs. Semi accident resulted in two injuries on the south edge of Marne.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened at around 2:34 p.m. on Sunday. Keith Reagels, 78, of Marne, and 40-year old Alan Vanaernam of Atlantic suffered injuries in the crash.
According to the report, a 2014 Chrysler Town and Country driven by Reagels failed to yield while attempting to turn left onto Marne Road and was struck by a westbound 2014 Peterbilt semi driven by Vanaernam. The semi struck the van in the front driver’s side.
The Town and Country came to rest in the south ditch. Authorities listed both vehicles as a total loss.
Medivac ambulance and Walnut Rescue transported Vanaernam and Reagels to the hospital for treatment of injuries.
