(Madison County) A Missouri man was injured in a car/pedestrian accident in Madison County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at 10:32 at 2430 Highway 169 south of the Carver Road Races at the Riverside Raceway. Authorities say the pedestrian, 22-year old Sheron Antonio Jame Weaver, of St. Peters, Missouri was injured in the accident.
According to the preliminary report, 30-year old Rachel Deanne Wicks, of Winterset was driving a southbound 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix southbound on Highway 169 where multiple vehicles were parked along the side of the road. Weaver walking between vehicles entered the roadway and was struck by the Pontiac.
Mercy One transported Weaver to the Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. Wicks was not hurt.
