(Red Oak) A Council Bluffs man escaped injury in a single-vehicle accident in Red Oak on Sunday.
Red oak Police say the accident happened at the intersection of North 4th and Joy Street at around 5:30 p.m.
According to Police, a 2007 Jeep Compass traveling northbound on 4th Street and driven by 26-year old Warren Wiechmann, left the road and struck a utility pole. Officers say Wiechmann became distracted and drove off the road. Authorities cited him with Failure to Maintain Control. More charges may follow.
The Jeep sustained $5.000 damage. The pole received $500 damage.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Red Oak Fire Department assisted Police at the scene.
