(Fremont Co.) A Nebraska man was killed in a two-vehicle accident in Fremont County Thursday morning.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident occurred on Highway 2 near the I-29 on-ramp at 6:50 a.m. 38-year-old Margie Carola Castro, of Houston, Texas, was driving a 2012 semi eastbound on Highway 2 in the left turn lane, preparing to turn left onto the northbound I-29 on-ramp. 38-year-old Andrew Charles Boardman, of Nehawka, Nebraska, was driving a 2006 motorcycle westbound on Highway 2. Castro failed to yield the right of way to Boardman and the motorcycle collided with the right side of the semi within the intersection.
Boardman was killed in the accident.
