(Anita) Bernard Pettinger earned the Republican nomination for District 5 Supervisor by defeating Linda Reineke, 182-92.
Pettinger says he appreciates everyone’s support in the primary. County Supervisor’s statewide could face some tough challenges on the months to come. Pettinger says particularly when ti comes to the budget.
Pettinger is no stranger to filling leadership roles with a resume’filled with community service. Pettinger served on the Hospital Board, he was Secretary of the Co-op Board, former School Board President, former Fair board President, and served on the Extension Council.
The rural Anita man now faces Democrat Russell Joyce for the District 5 Cass County Supervisor seat currently occupied by Frank Waters, who chose not to seek re-election. Joyce ran uncontested in the District 5 Democratic Primary.
