(Red Oak) A two-vehicle crash in Red oak sent one person to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Red Oak Police say the accident happened at around at 5:17 p.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of N. 2nd Street and E. Joy Street. According to Police, EMS ground ambulance transported 20-year old Tasha Marie-Kanani Green of Red Oak, a passenger in the Ford Fiesta, to the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries.
According to the accident report, a southbound 2012 Ford Fiesta driven by 27-year old Hillary Faye Tilton of Red Oak failed to yield to an eastbound 2003 Hyundai Elantra driven by 19-year old Nicolas James-Kumpik Mueller of Red Oak resulting in a broadside collision.
The estimated damage to the Ford is $8,000. The estimated cost to the Elantra is $4,000.
Officers cited Tilton for failing to yield the right-of-way.
