(Atlantic) The Atlantic Fire Department was called to a fire at Hubbard Feeds on Marne Road north of Atlantic early this afternoon.
Atlantic Fire Chief Tom Cappel said upon arrival there was smoke showing through the top and lower basement area of the feed mill. Cappel said during the investigation it was determined that the fire actually started in the pellet mill on the main floor and then it dropped warm pellets down into a cooler in the basement of the mill and that’s what got hot.

There were no injuries and everyone was able to get out of the building safely.
The Atlantic Police Department, Cass County Sheriff’s Office and Medivac Ambulance assisted the Atlantic Fire Department on scene.
