(Greenfield) The Adair County Board of Supervisors met this morning to discuss changes in Policies & Procedures in response to the Coronavirus outbreak.
Adair County Auditor Mandy Berg said the Supervisors approved a resolution relating to employee’s sick leave.
“In this resolution it talks about if employees are sick or have any kind of symptoms to stay home and be able to use their sick leave. We also included in that if they are sick that they can have advanced sick leave up to 80 hours so if they do exhaust that sick leave they already have they can use that 80 hours of advanced sick leave that they’ll pay back eventually. Also, if they are caring for any family members or if they have childcare that has closed they can use their comp. and sick time and advanced sick time for that also,” explained Berg.
Berg said the Supervisors also talked about how they can minimize their risk to exposure and some safety practices they need to put in place. She said they are advising employees to not do any travel that is not essential and if they have traveled anywhere affected by Coronovirus or have taken a cruise in the last 14-days they will need to self-isolate at home.
The Adair County Courthouse remains closed to the public. A drop box is located at the west entrance of the building. If you need further help, contact the office by phone.
The Supervisors will continue to conduct their meetings electronically until further notice.
