Funeral services for 87-year old Don Chestnut, of Adair, will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, March 16, 2020, at the United Methodist Church in Adair, Iowa. Visitation with the family will be from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m., Sunday, March 15, 2020, at Hockenberry Family Care Funeral Home in Adair. Burial will be in the Sunnyhill Cemetery in Adair, Iowa. The Adair VFW and Iowa Military Funeral Honors will perform the special Military service. The Hockenberry Family Care Funeral Home in Adair is in charge of the arrangements.
Don is survived by his daughter, Annette Brannen of Urbandale, son, Eddie (Renae) Chestnut of Johnston, and Evan (Sharon) Chestnut of Shell Rock, Iowa. Three brothers, Ray Chestnut, Dale (Marlene) Chestnut, and Lyle Chestnut. And six grandchildren.
