(Council Bluffs) The Council Bluffs Police Criminal Investigation Division is searching for the driver of a stolen vehicle involved in a pursuit that ended in an accident in Council Bluffs.
Officers located a stolen vehicle on a lot of Super 8 Motel on So. 24th Street. Two officers made contact with the stolen car; the driver exited the vehicle as commanded, but wouldn’t cooperate, got back in the vehicle and fled at a high rate of speed northbound on So. 24th Street. The driver of the stolen vehicle led Officers west on 23rd Ave then north on So. 35th Street. Another vehicle struck the stolen car as it passed through the intersection on West Broadway. The stolen car continued northbound and struck a stop sign at N. 35th Street and A Avenue. The driver fled on foot, and the passengers would not cooperate. No one was hurt in the crash.
