The Chargers posted 53 points in the first half and led by 44 at the break. They held West Central Valley without a field goal for over eight minutes to start the game. Quynton Younker came up with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Miles Kading had 18 points and Lucas Marsh scored 15. Eli Kading posted 8 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Bryce Littler had 7 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals.
Atlantic 63, Red Oak 40
Nile Petersen led three in double figures with 18 points. Skyler Handlos managed 13 points while Craig Alan Becker scored 10. Atlantic held Red Oak to just three points in the first quarter. Ryan Johnson was Red Oak’s high scorer with 13 points.
Exira-EHK 65, Ar-We-Va 59 (OT)
The Spartans have won three in a row against Ar-We-Va. Creighton Nelson had 19 points. Tyler Petersen and Hunter Andersen each scored 16 with Andersen going 5/6 at the line in the 4th quarter. Trey Petersen scored 8.
Harlan 73, Kuemper Catholic 66
Connor Bruck hit some clutch shots in the 3rd quarter to fend off the Knights. Bruck finished with 19 points while Johnathan Monson had 18 points, 14 rebounds, and 7 assists. Michael Heithoff added 14 points for Harlan which made 19 free-throws in the win. Kyle Berg scored 14 points for Kuemper. Will Schenkelberg hit four of the team’s 12 3’s and finished with a dozen points. John Mayhall scored 11.
Logan-Magnolia 68, Audubon 48
The Wheelers trailed by just three at the end of the 1st, but were outscored 20-6 in the 2nd. Joel Klocke and Gavin Smith each went 5/9 from the field with 16 points from Klocke and 13 for Smith. Marcus Olsen had 9 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4 steals. Audubon was just 3/17 from 3-point range.
Mount Ayr 52, Nodaway Valley 51
The Wolverine’s upset bid came up just short despite 16 points from Toby Bower and 13 for Clay Hohertz. Bower hit 6/11 shots including four 3’s. Josh Baudler ended up with 11 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals.
Treynor 76, Riverside 53
Drake Woods had 17 points and 8 assists in the loss. Brogan Allensworth posted 12 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 4 blocks. Taten Williams scored 9 points.
