(Louisville, NE) Five individual champions lifted Underwood to a team wrestling title at Louisville, Nebraska on Saturday. AHSTW made it an all-Western Iowa Conference top two with their runner-up performance as a team.
Underwood champs were Niles Sollazzo (113), Stevie Barnes (120), Nick Stephens (126), Zane Ziegler (132), and Nick Hamilton (145). Barnes moves to 43-1 on the season while Hamilton extends his record to 44-0.
AHSTW had nine guys secure a top five finish. Viking champions were Gavyn Fischer (195) and Jaedan Rasmussen (152). Registering 2nd place finishes were Joel Sampson (132) and Brady Canada (285). Hayden Fischer (120) placed 3rd. Leland Barr (220) and Michael Shiffer (182) were each 4th. Coming in 5th were Garrison Gettler (138) and Dayden Moertl (126).
