Cass County Sheriff’s Report

(Atlantic) The Cass County Sheriff’s Office reports eight arrests between January 1^st and January 13^th.

Myron Lee Flathers, 58, of Anita, was arrested January 1^st for Possession of Marijuana 3^rd or Subsequent Offense and OWI 1^st Offense. Flathers was taken to the Cass County Jail and released the following day on his own recognizance.

Jessica James Harrison, 22, of Dallas Center, was arrested January 2^nd for Possession of Marijuana 1^st Offense and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Harrison was taken to the Cass County Jail and released later on $1,000 bond.

Charles Lawrence Elmore, 33, of Bellevue, Nebraska, was arrested following a single-vehicle weather-related accident on I-80 January 3^rd. Elmore was arrested on a U.S. Marshals warrant. He was held at the Cass County Jail and later released to the U.S. Marshals Service.

Lenny Lee Biggs, 51, of Atlantic, was arrested January 6^th on a Des Moines Police Department warrant. Biggs was taken to the Cass County Jail and later released to Des Moines authorities.

Devin Joel Hilliard, 19, of Council Bluffs, was arrested January 7^th on two Sheriff’s Office warrants; one for four counts of Unauthorized use of a Credit Card and one for Theft 5^th Degree. Hilliard was taken to the Cass County Jail and released later that day on his own recognizance.

Joseph Francis Emert, 67, of Atlantic, was arrested January 8^th for OWI 1^st Offense. Emert was taken to the Cass County Jail and released the following day on his own recognizance.

Travis Lee Demey, 41, of Carroll, was arrested January 9^th on two District Court warrants for Probation Violation. Demey was taken to the Cass County Jail where he remains held on $20,000 bond.

Allen Michael Shampang, 35, of Atlantic, was arrested January 13^th on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault. Shampang was taken to the Cass County Jail and released later that day on $1,000 bond.
