(Des Moines) Highways in all of southwest, west-central and northwest Iowa are partially covered with snow, according to 511ia.org.
Forecasters say occasional freezing drizzle will result in light icing on untreated roads and sidewalks through this evening. Light snow is occurring with minor accumulations around a half-inch for portions of southwest Iowa until 9:00 p.m.
Motorists should plan on slippery road conditions, as well as sidewalks and decks. Light icing on windshields may also occur.
