(Harlan) The Harlan Police in their latest press release report eight arrests.
An Avoca man was arrested following a traffic stop on January 1 in Harlan. Police arrested 34-year old Trent Allen Nielsen on January 1, following a call for service. Nielsen was transported to the Shelby County Jail where he was charged with assault and lascivious acts with a child.

Timothy Wayne Nevel, age 52, Harlan, was arrested following a traffic stop. Nevel was transported to the Shelby County Jail and charged with, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, prohibited acts penalties, and no lamp or flag on rear projecting load.

Bryan Allen Dennis, age 49, Council Bluffs, was arrested following a call for service. Dennis was transported to the Shelby County Jail where he was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Brian Allan Sorensen, age 52, Harlan, was arrested following a call for service. Sorensen was transported to the Shelby County Jail where he was charged with theft 5th.

David Lee Stout, age 50, Harlan, was charged with domestic abuse assault following a call for service. Stout was arrested January 3, 2020, on an active Shelby County warrant and transported to the Shelby County Jail.

Alexis Jean Sherer, age 20, Harlan, was arrested on an active Harrison County warrant. Sherer was transported to the Shelby County Jail.

Kari Jean Elizabeth Nordby, age 41, Harlan, was arrested following a traffic stop. Nordby was transported to the Shelby County Jail where she was charged with operating while intoxicated, possession of drug paraphernalia, failing to maintain control, an insufficient number of headlamps.
