(Audubon) Two people were arrested on drug charges in Audubon County.
The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office says Robert Paul Joens, 26, of Exira, was arrested December 11th for Possession of Marijuana 2nd Offense and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The charges stem from an incident occurring in the 2600 block of Heron Avenue. He was transported to the Audubon County Jail where he was held until the following morning when he appeared before the Magistrate and was released.
Jarold Field Joens, 56, of Exira, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Marijuana 1st Offense on December 23rd. The charge stems from a search warrant of his property in connection with an incident that occurred earlier in December. Jarold Joens was summoned to appear before the Magistrate later that week and was released. During that search warrant, Robert Paul Joens was charged with two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance Marijuana 2nd Offense and Possession of a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine 2nd Offense. Robert Joens was transported to the Audubon County Jail where he was held until he posted $3,600 bond.
In other activity, Christopher Lee Hilleshiem, 45, of Exira, was charged with Disclosing Confidential Information on December 15th. The charge stems from an investigation into an incident that occurred in November. He appeared before the Magistrate and was released.
Levi John Klenda, 18, of Kimballton, was charged with Theft 4th and Accessory After the Fact on December 16th. Klenda appeared before the Magistrate and was released. Carrie Waller, 43, of Exira was charged with Obstructing Prosecution or Defense and Theft 4th on December 15th and was summoned to appear before the Magistrate on January 9th and was released. A male juvenile was charged with Burglary 3rd Motor Vehicle and Theft 4th. The charges all stem from an investigation into a theft of a firearm from a vehicle in Exira. The theft occurred in July of 2019.
