(Cumberland) A Madison County man faces drug and alcohol-related charges following an accident in southern Cass County early this (Tuesday) morning.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says 19-year old Korey Cassady of Earlham faces charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana and Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp, both Class D Felonies. He was also charged with Possession of Paraphernalia and OWI 1st offense. Cassady was taken to the Cass County Jail and held on $10,000 bond.
Authorities say Cassady was southbound on 690th Street just before 4:00 a.m. Tuesday, when he lost control of the 1999 Chevy Silverado pickup he was driving. The truck entered the east ditch. Cassady refused medical treatment.
