(Glenwood) One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Mills County this morning.
The Mills County Sheriff’s Office says at around 6:08 a.m., 50-year-old Peter Phillips, of Glenwood, was driving a 2015 GMC eastbound on Highway 34 when the front and rear tires on the passenger side of the vehicle left the roadway, entering the deep snow on the shoulder. Phillips attempted to correct the vehicle back onto the roadway, but overcorrected causing the vehicle to cross the center line where it struck a westbound 2002 Dodge head-on. Phillips’ vehicle came to rest in the eastbound lane. The Dodge, driven by 52-year-old Barbara Stegall of Emerson, came to rest in the north ditch.
Stegall was transported by Malvern Rescue to the Red Oak hospital with suspected minor injuries.
