Kayaking, Hiking, and Snakes at Prairie Rose State Park

Kayaking,  Join Shelby County Conservation for a leisurely paddle on Wednesday, August 6 at 6:30 p.m. for kayaking at Prairie Rose.  We will meet on the east side of the lake/east side of M47.  Kayaks, paddles, and life jackets will be provided.  We will go over some basics and then head out to paddle.  All levels of experience are welcome.  An adult must accompany children under the age of 12 on the water.

Morning Hike, Join us for a hike on Saturday, August 9 at 9:00 a.m.  We will meet at the beach parking lot and hike one of the trails along the lake.  The hike will be relatively easy.  Please bring water and wear comfortable shoes.

Snakes, Join us for a program all about snakes on Saturday, August 9 at 7:00 p.m.  We will meet near the playground/shower house at Prairie Rose.  The program will feature a variety of live snakes.
