(Massena) The Massena City Council is considering security cameras be installed within the City.
Councilman Doug Venteicher says the City is currently gathering bids for the proposed project. “We thought this would be a good idea to have something to go on if something should happen.”
The conversation started after suspects attempted to steal the ATM machine from the First National Bank on Mainstreet a couple of weeks ago.
Massena’s $3.2 million Lagoon project is also finalized, and work should begin sometime next month. The DNR deemed the current Lagoon outdated. The project is funded by a $1.4 million USDA loan, and a $1.8 million grant.
