(Atlantic) One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident in Atlantic Monday afternoon.
The Atlantic Police Department says Deandra Smith, of Atlantic, was stopped at a red light westbound on 7th Street. Catherine Charles, of Atlantic, was also westbound on 7th Street behind Smith. Charles stated that she turned to check on a child and her foot slipped off the brake into the gas pedal and rolled into the back of Smith’s vehicle.
Deandra Smith was transported to Cass County Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
