(Des Moines) A line of showers and thunderstorms moved through western Iowa on Saturday evening, and slowly moved eastward through central and eastern Iowa. A funnel cloud spotted near Cedar Creek in Nebraska prompted a tornado warning for west-central Mills County in Iowa. Fortunately, tornadic weather failed to develop and the warning expired at 6:45 p.m.
Sunday will bring breezy and cool conditions with highs in the 50s over northern Iowa and 60s elsewhere. Temperatures will slowly rise by midweek to around 80 degrees by late this week.
