(Creston) A Union County man faces contempt and weapons charges.
Creston Police arrested 34-year old Michael Eugene Matherly of Creston on Thursday afternoon at 612 New York Avenue on charges of Violation of a No Contract/Protective Order, Contempt, Threat-explosive or incendiary device, and a second violation of a No Contact/Protective Order-Contempt. Matherly is in the Union County Jail on a $5,000 cash or surety bond.
In a separate incident; Police arrested 44-year old Ernest Franklin Leaf of Des Moines for 5th –degree theft. Officers cited Leaf at the scene and released him with a Promise to Appear.
