(Iowa City) Yet another big postseason honor has come the way of Iowa junior Luka Garza. On Tuesday Garza was announced as the recipient of the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award.
Garza is the first Hawkeye to ever win this award which is in its 6th year. He was also previously selected as the Pete Newell Big Man of the Year along with being named to numerous All-American teams.
Garza averaged 23.9 points and 9.8 rebounds per game this season.
