(Atlantic) Briar Cliff is the school of choice for Atlantic’s Pluma Pross. The Trojan senior will run track from the Chargers in the future. She made it official with a special signing ceremony at Atlantic High School this week.
Pross says, “I really liked the coaches. The school was really nice and it has a great environment. I just knew that was the place for me.” One of the coaches that was instrumental in the recruiting process was a familiar one to Pross. Former Atlantic head boys track coach Jordan Mullen is now an assistant at Briar Cliff he was the one who initially reached out to Pross.
Pross picked Briar Cliff over Dordt and NIACC. The decision largely came down to the coaching staff at Briar Cliff, “They were really fun and had a good attitude. I just felt like if I did choose to go there I would have a good time and compete well.”
Pross was a member of last year’s Drake Relays qualifying and State Meet medal winning 4X400 relay for Atlantic. Her full interview can be heard below:
