(Anita) A Pottawattamie County man faces numerous charges following a pursuit through northern Cass County late Monday night.
Cass County Sheriff Darby McLaren tells KSOM/KS95 News a Cass County Deputy attempted a traffic stop in Anita at around 11:25 p.m. for a vehicle with an expired registration. “The vehicle failed to stop and a pursuit ensued,” explained McLaren. “The pursuit ended when the vehicle driven by 25-year old Kyler O’Brien, of Council Bluffs, hit stop sticks near Highway 173 and Boston Road.
O’Brien faces charges of driving while barred, eluding at speeds of 25-miles over the speed limit, carrying weapons and reckless driving.”
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, Audubon County Sheriff’s Office, Atlantic Police, and the Iowa State Patrol.
