(Atlantic, IA) — Ashley Hinson, candidate for the U.S. Senate, was in Carroll on Thursday and was due to stop in Atlantic until a last minute change in the schedule forced her elsewhere but she took the time to talk with KSOM/KS 95.
Hinson is campaigning with Texas Senator Ted Cruz and she talked with about 100 people in Carroll on Thursday in a town hall
One problem facing small towns in Iowa is the availability of affordable housing and Hinson wants to end certain regulations
There have been a lot of negative ads in the campaign for US Senate and Hinson says her opponent Josh Turek has been misleading in the one talking about her making money while in office
Hinson is 43 years old — she was first elected to the Iowa House in 2016, then the US House of Representatives in 2020 and if elected would be the youngest Republican woman ever in the U.S. Senate
Hinson had a rally on Thursday night in Council Bluffs and will be heading to Northwest Iowa on Friday.
