(Des Moines, IA) — Iowa will help combat harm done to kids on Facebook and Instagram with funds from a national settlement. Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird says the state is in line to receive 126-million dollars from the Meta settlement.
Bird says the state will also use its settlement funds to help schools hire resource officers and enforce online and social media protections for children. The state of Iowa also has pending lawsuits against Roblox and TikTok.
