(Audubon) The City of Audubon is announcing the resignation of Police Chief Sean Staples.
Mayor Palle Lansman says Staples has decided to step down as chief to spend more time with his family. He has agreed to return to his previous position as a police officer with the City of Audubon.
Staples became chief in February 2025 and has served the city and its residents with dedication and commitment.
Lansman thanked Staples for his service and contributions to the community, including his commitment to keeping residents safe and his tactful, small-town approach to policing.
The City says it looks forward to Staples’ continued service to the community in his new role.
