(Dunlap) Iowa 37 near Dunlap will close for one day on Tuesday, September 1, weather permitting, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation’s Sioux City construction office.
Crews will close Iowa 37 in both directions from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 1, from 130th Street/Harrison County Road F-14/Tabor Avenue northwest of Dunlap to U.S. 30/Lincoln Highway in Dunlap. The closure is part of a joint project with Union Pacific Railroad to rehabilitate the railroad tracks that cross Iowa 37 just northwest of the intersection of Iowa 37 and U.S. 30.
During the closure, drivers should follow this marked detour:
-From the intersection of Iowa 37 and 130th Street/Harrison County Road F-14/Tabor Avenue
-Travel southwest to 111th Street/Remsen Street
-East on 111th Street/Remsen Street to U.S. 30/Lincoln Highway
