(Buena Vista Co.) One person was killed and another was injured in a single-vehicle accident in Buena Vista County Monday morning.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at approximately 5:42 a.m. on 200th Avenue, south of C13. A 2010 Cadillac SRX, driven by 38-year-old Nicholas Skog of Fort Dodge, was traveling south on 200th Avenue when Skog failed to maintain control of the vehicle.
The Cadillac entered the east ditch and rolled before coming to rest in the ditch.
Skog was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger, 37-year-old Rusty Rogers of Clear Lake, was transported by paramedics to Buena Vista Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
