(Guthrie Center, IA) — The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors addressed a budget amendment during today’s (Tuesday’s) meeting.
The Supervisors conducted a public hearing on the amendment despite it being left off the agenda. A motion was made to amend the agenda — the Supervisors had publicized the public hearing ahead of time. County Auditor Dani Fink gave the reasons for amending the budget
There were no public comments on the amendment — the supervisors are scheduled to vote on the amendment next week.
The Supervisors also took a proposal from Facilities Manager Brandon Thompson about upgrading the security at the courthouse — there were a number of different options that needed to be considered.
Jotham Arber the Health Services Director reported that the Iowa DNR told him the Guthrie County landfill could be in final closure in just over a year’s time and would not have to be maintained.
The Supervisors also re-appointed Beth Watson to the Region XII Regional Housing Authority.
