(Council Bluffs) Council Bluffs Police and Fire were dispatched to the 2700 block of Avenue A at approximately 4:33 p.m. Monday, August 24, following a report of a cutting.
Officers located 43-year-old Seth Henderson of Council Bluffs at the scene. Henderson sustained multiple cut wounds and was transported by Council Bluffs Fire Department medics to UNMC in Omaha for treatment. His injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
An investigation determined Henderson was involved in an altercation with 50-year-old Jeremy Thomas of Omaha. Police say Thomas cut Henderson multiple times during the altercation before fleeing the scene.
Several hours later, Thomas contacted the Council Bluffs Police Department and turned himself in. He was lodged in the Pottawattamie County Jail on charges of Attempt to Commit Murder, a Class B felony, and Going Armed with Intent, a Class D felony.
The public is reminded that charges are not evidence against the defendant, and the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
