(Fremont Co) A Fremont County traffic stop on Highway 2 led to the arrest of two people after deputies reportedly seized approximately two ounces of cocaine and drug paraphernalia from the vehicle.
According to the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy with the Fremont County K9 Unit conducted the traffic stop on August 21 in the 1900 block of Highway 2.
The driver was identified as 33-year-old Jordan Paul Castro of Fremont, California. The passenger was identified as 22-year-old Moonlight Journie King of Bedford, Indiana.
The Sheriff’s Office says a probable-cause search of the vehicle was conducted, resulting in the seizure of approximately two ounces of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Castro was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, less than 100 grams, a Class C felony; failure to affix a drug tax stamp, a Class D felony; keeping a premise or vehicle for a controlled substance, an aggravated misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.
King was arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, cocaine, a serious misdemeanor, and failure to affix a drug tax stamp, a Class D felony.
