Atlantic City Council Approves West 7th Street Extension for New Mudslayer Manufacturing Facility

(Atlantic) The Atlantic City Council approved the plans, specifications, and form of contract for the West 7^th Street Extension Project.

Dave Sturm of Snyder and Associates explained that this project is for the West 15^th Street extension to serve Mudslayer Manufacturing’s new building, which produces the Mudslayer Portable Mud System used in drilling water wells.

The owner, Jim La Porte, is constructing a 13,920-square-foot building on the southwest edge of Atlantic to serve as an assembly site for parts produced at two other facilities in Iowa. The construction site is located west of Sunnyside Lane, and east f SW 7^th Street, behind Hoffman’s new veterinary care center.

Five to ten new jobs are projected to be created with this project.
