(Greene County) One person died, and two others suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Greene County.
The Iowa State Patrol says the accident happened at the intersection of Highway 30 and 210th Street. Authorities say 75-year-old Marcia Lucile Bachmann of Denison died in the crash. The two injured persons are identified as Frizabel Anwi Waki of Lincoln, Nebraska, and 27-year-old Mbachokieng Claudine Ngum of West Des Moines.
Waki was driving a westbound 2019 Ford Escape on 210th Street east of Highway 30 Diagonal, and Bachman was traveling southeast in a 2018 Prius on Highway 30 Diagonal northwest of 210th Street. Waki pulled out from the stop sign and was struck by the Prius.
Bachman was pronounced deceased at the scene. Lifeflight airlifted Waki to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. Carroll EMS transported Ngum to Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.
