(Guthrie Co.) The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors approved setting a 55-mile-per-hour speed limit on County Roads 200th and Redwood.
Supervisor Maggie Armstrong said the county received a letter from the Lake Panorama Association requesting that officials consider setting speed limits on both roads, which serve as access points to Lake Panorama. Neither road currently has posted speed limit signs.
The board discussed whether a speed study would be needed before establishing the limits.
Engineer Josh Sebern noted that, by resolution, the county can authorize a speed zone, making the process relatively simple.
The Supervisors approved moving forward with a resolution establishing a 55-mile-per-hour speed limit on both 200th and Redwood Road.
