(Adair Co.) The Adair County Board of Supervisors approved using opioid settlement funds to help renovate a room at the hospital for crisis stabilization.
Adair County Sheriff Jeff Vandewater updated the board Wednesday morning on plans for the project. Vandewater said the county has approximately $40,000 in opioid settlement funds available for the project. He said the renovation is expected to cost just over $49,000.
Sheriff Vandewater asked the supervisors to allocate $40,000 in opioid settlement funds to the hospital, with the hospital covering approximately $10,000 of the remaining cost.
The supervisors approved allocating opioid settlement funds to the project.
