(Ames, IA) — Iowa State Athletics set a new fundraising record during the 2026 fiscal year, generating $52.7 million in gifts from nearly 8,000 donors.
Endowed Cyclone Director of Athletics Jamie Pollard announced Tuesday that the record total surpassed the previous high of $41.7 million established in 2020. Annual giving through the Cyclone Club also reached a new milestone, totaling $21.1 million and breaking last year’s record of $19.7 million.
Pollard credited the generosity of Cyclone fans, saying their support allows Iowa State to provide an outstanding academic and athletic experience for its student-athletes. He also praised the efforts of the athletics development and ticket office staffs, noting that annual Cyclone Club donations and season ticket sales remain the foundation of the department’s operating budget.
A total of 7,814 donors made more than 26,700 gifts to the athletics department during the fiscal year, including 48 contributions of at least $100,000.
The Cyclone Club has now generated more than $10 million in annual support for 12 consecutive years and has established a new fundraising record in each of the last six years.
Senior Associate Athletics Director Ryan McGuire said the record year reflects the commitment of Iowa State’s donors, coaches, athletics staff, and the ISU Foundation, calling it a true team effort.
The Cyclone Club provides financial support for Iowa State’s 18 varsity sports and more than 450 student-athletes.
