(Guthrie Center) Day two of RAGBRAI, Monday July 20, will end in Guthrie Center. The city will host thousands of riders overnight before they continue to Boone on Tuesday morning.
Four live performances are scheduled throughout the afternoon and evening. The Hillbilly Air Show will perform from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., followed by the Weary Ramblers from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Nadas will take the stage from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and Gimikk will close out the night from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Riders will enter Guthrie Center on West State Street, where entertainment and vendors will be located throughout the downtown area. They will also leave the city using State Street the following morning.
Guthrie Center’s RAGBRAI motto is “Where the Hill Are We?” because of the city’s hilly terrain. State Highways 25 and 44, along with several downtown streets and support vehicle routes, will have temporary closures, detours and parking restrictions from early Monday morning through Tuesday morning.
