(Cass Co.) State and local leaders, community partners, and organizations gathered at Bluebird Hill in Atlantic Tuesday morning to officially launch Thrive Iowa in Cass County.
Thrive Iowa brings together community organizations, government agencies, healthcare providers, schools, businesses, and faith-based partners to create a more coordinated approach to serving individuals and families.
Cass Health was selected by Iowa HHS to serve as one of the first counties in Iowa to launch Thrive Iowa, recognizing the community’s strong history of collaboration and readiness to build a coordinated system of support for local families.

Brooks said the Cass County alliance currently has over 90 members across 28 organizations.
Megan Roberts, Public Health Director, said one of the reasons Thrive Iowa is so important is because the challenges families face today often first become visible within the schools.
James Northwick, Schuler Elementary School Principal, said this is going to be great for the students and families in the community.
Megan Roberts said, “The challenges that face families are complex and addressing them requires a little more than good intentions. It requires a coordinated system of support that brings all partners together around shared goals and shared accountability. The Thrive model is helping communities across Iowa rethink how services are delivered, break down barriers between organizations, and create pathways that help families move from crisis to stability.”
Today’s event concluded with signing the Thrive Iowa Declaration of Participation.
