Kolbe has been actively involved in school and community activities throughout high school. He played varsity baseball from 8th–12th grade, along with football and wrestling during his freshman year. Outside of school, Kolbe enjoys hunting, helping local farmers, working around equipment, spending time with friends and family, and being outdoors whenever possible. He has also volunteered with concession stands, Westfair setup and track prep, the Sports Booster golf fundraiser, Macedonia Fire Department pancake breakfast, and helping with youth baseball practices and livestreaming school sporting events.
Accomplishments
Kolbe has maintained Honor Roll status throughout high school and served as Junior Class Co-President. He was nominated to Homecoming Court and earned varsity letters in both baseball and football. In baseball, he received 2nd Team Corner Conference honors in 2024. Kolbe plans to attend Iowa State University to major in Agriculture. Above all, his greatest accomplishment is the hardworking, resilient, and kind young man he has become through every challenge life has thrown his way.
What was your most memorable moment in High School?
One of Kolbe’s most memorable high school moments was creating a giant slip ’n slide in the high school hallway with friends. It perfectly sums up Kolbe — fun-loving, a little ornery, always making memories, and never afraid to make people laugh.
