(Corning) The Corning School Board will hold a special meeting on Monday, March 16, to discuss the superintendent’s search process.
The Corning and Villisca school boards approved current superintendent Joe Erickson’s resignation this past week. Erickson is stepping down at the end of the current school year. Erickson took over the position one year ago replacing Chris Fenster, who left at the end of the previous school year to become superintendent of the South Hardin School District.
Meanwhile, April 2 has been set as the application deadline for the position. The board’s goal is to select a new superintendent on April 17.
The Corning School Board’s special meeting starts at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16.
